A very very special THANK YOU to Martha Witcher, a fellow blogger and beyond talented weaver who dropped by our farm a couple of days ago. Not only did she buy one of my soaps she GIFTED me this gorgeous hand towel. As you can see, a most perfect backdrop for my soaps. I was just gobsmaked to find this in our little farm store, beautifully wrapped and labeled. Sadly, I missed her that day but you can be sure I will think of her each time I run my hands over this piece of art. Please check out her other items in her Etsy Store.
The lower soap has an archaeological look about it.
ReplyDeleteYou've been busy. The first soap sounds wonderful and I like the crackle effect of TD in the second soap. I've never heard of red wattle lard but it sounds interesting.

Your first soap pictured looks very dramatic and your second seems almost to have a wood grain patina ~ I love how 'organic' it looks.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous hand towel! I am heading to Martha's Etsy store now :)
Your creations are getting more and more artistic.
ReplyDeleteYour soaps are sooo beautiful! I drool every Sunday. And that towel ... yes, it is off to an etsy store!
ReplyDeleteDonna, thanks for the kind words about my hand woven towel. The new soaps are so pretty they remind me of the pictured rocks up in Lake Superior.
ReplyDeleteYOU, missy, are getting TOO good! That new camera brought out a different side to you and I love it. Both of your new soaps are wonderful and the first one looks a lot like my new Bathing Beauty salt bar. Great minds think alike.
ReplyDeleteCro, thank you . As I age so do my soaps...
ReplyDeleteTwo Blooms. I still have SO MUCH to learn about using clays and TD's. Some of my mistakes turn into beautys overnight...or not. Soaping is never dull for sure
Topcat. thanks much. I love the organic, earthy side too. It's becoming some sort of soap ID for me. Sadly someome else already has "dirty girl" soaps
What beautiful soaps and I really love the hand towel! What a nice gift to receive!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful soaps, Donna! Love the swirls in the first soap, and lemongrass and eucalyptus sound great together. Love the look of the second one, too, especially with the calendula on top. Pink grapefruit and lemongrass sounds like a wonderful combo - I love citrusy scents. I've got some EOs on the way and I can't wait to try some new blends, too!
ReplyDeletevery pretty patterns!
